The mat itself can be easily placed at a users bedside or anywhere else around the bedroom making it ideal for those that are prone to wandering or vulnerable to falls, alerting carers to an individual's whereabouts should they leave a particular area. When pressure is applied to the sensor mat an audible alarm sounds on the nurse call system, as well a visual warning alerting the carer that someone is on the move. Thanks to its large 550mm x 800mm (21.5" x 31.5") area it reduces the chance of a patient overstepping the mat therefore heightening user safety. The system features a highly unique, patent pending feature which has been endorsed globally by care professionals, this feature is a 6" lead which comes from the Nurse Call Floor Sensor Mat and allows for a Patient Call Lead or other sensor mats to be connected, using just one nurse call point.
